Colin Selig regionally sources scrap steel propane tanks, transforming them into whimsical, eco-friendly outdoor seating and sculpture.

He dissects and reassembles the tank parts without any additional shaping of the material, a repurposing process that carries a significantly smaller carbon footprint than recycling. The end product contains 99% post-consumer reused content.

The curved seat and backrest of his benches provide good lumbar support for a wide range of body sizes, an ergonomic improvement over traditional outdoor benches with flat seats. His works grace numerous public and commercial locations, including streetscapes, parks and plazas, enhancing pubic enjoyment of the outdoors.
